- ASO Shrine
Aso Shrine is an ancient shrine with a history of more than 2000 years, including Takeiwa tatsumino-mikoto, the grandson of Emperor Jinmu, and 12 family gods. Since ancient times, it has been admired as the best shrine in Higo, combining with the volcanic belief of Mt. Aso crater.
Due to the Kumamoto earthquake, the tower and main shrine collapsed, and restoration work is now underway.

- Shioisha-suigen
In the quiet precinct of Shioi-jinja shrine is a spring pond that is deep and blue. Movement of water can be found only near the bottom of the pond. The water flowing from the pond is the only “Nonbori Gawa”, a river running eastbound, in Minamiaso. Its waterways are aesthetic.

Nishiura Koujinsya is a shrine that hosts Arakami-sama and is also known as Sanjo Ara Shrine. Since the seat is Nishiura in Kumamoto City, it is called Arakami of Nishiura, and it has been a shrine with great faith since ancient times.
